The 2021 Chevy Tahoe has a whole new look. The cabin has been completely redesigned to enhance comfort and provide more room. Updated exterior sheet metal, a new grille and new headlights keep this SUV relevant and looking sharp. It’s longer than it used to be at 210.7 inches. Previous models were 204 inches. The wheelbase on the new Tahoe has also expanded from 116 inches up to 120.9 inches. These changes invite more space for passengers and cargo. Efficiency is a major focus for the 2021 engine configurations, including a newly available diesel option that’s just been added to the line-up.

Built on the Silverado Platform

The 2021 Chevy Tahoe is a three-row SUV that’s built on the same platform of its larger counterparts, the Chevy Suburban and the Silverado 1500. It’s got three engine options, including a standard 5.3-liter V8 engine, an optional 6.2-liter V8, or a turbo-diesel 3.0-liter I-6. A ten-speed automatic transmission is offered across the board with each of the three engines. The diesel engine is completely new, while the V8’s are carryovers from the past generation. For premium off-road capability, the Z71 trim has standard four-wheel drive and exclusive off-road equipment. It’s prepared to take you anywhere you want to go.

Inside any version of the new Tahoe, passengers can enjoy 11 additional cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, bringing this model into the best-in-class for cargo volume status. Not only is there more room available, but it’s also easier to load large, heavy items onto the lowered loading floor. An available power sliding center console serves as a hidden storage compartment that can slide back by up to 10 inches. There’s also 10 inches of extra legroom for passengers who are seated in the third row to stretch out.
