Chevy SUVs – Buford, GA

SUVs come in many sizes and styles, and they’re great vehicles for families and people on-the-go. An SUV leaves more room for people but offers collapsible seats when you need transportation. However, some people need more room than others. Some drivers may even need vehicles that are strong enough to tow, too. Chevy knows this, which is why it brings several options to the table. From the Trailblazer to the Tahoe, and the Equinox to the Suburban, there’s a Chevy SUV option for every driver. Whether your main concern is price, style, space, or power, Chevy can meet your needs.

Why We Love Chevy SUVs

It’s important to get great quality at a reasonable price––Chevy SUVs exhibit the latest technology and safety features, alongside strong, durable parts. As of 2020, Chevy has won more J.D. Power dependability awards than any other brand over the previous five years. When we look at Chevrolet vehicles, we see reliability, durability, and longevity.

Chevy Performance

Chevy SUVs have powerful engines and incredible towing capacities. For example, the 2020 Tahoe is available with a 6.2-liter V8 engine, and it has a max towing capacity of 8,600 pounds. Even the affordable 2020 Chevy Blazer can tow up to 4,500 pounds. Further, even the newest addition, the 2021 Trailblazer, comes with an all-wheel drive option. This is why we love Chevy SUVs. No matter how small the model, Chevy creates powerful vehicles ready for the road and the road less traveled.

Chevy Safety

Safety is another important Chevy feature that we love. Newer Chevy SUVs have rear cross traffic alert warning, lane keep assist, departure warnings, and forward-collision alerts, to name just a few. Additionally, all newer models have a Teen Driver system, which allows parents to have a bit more peace of mind while their teenager is on the road without them. Parents can set restrictions on speed, the disabling of certain features, and set volume limits. This all lessens distractions and creates a safer environment for new and learning drivers. Even more, it provides parents with a report card so they can help their young drivers develop safe road habits.

Chevy's Offer Plenty of Cargo and Passenger Space

Something we love most about SUVs is the amount of storage they provide. Truck beds are handy, and car trunks are nice, but SUVs somehow make the best of both worlds with regard to cargo and passenger space. For example, the 2021 Chevy Suburban has a maximum cargo capacity of 144.7 cubic feet with the second and third-row of seats folded down. With the seats up? There is a maximum of 41.5 cubic feet available for your cargo. Looking for something a bit smaller? The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer offers drivers up to 54.4 cubic feet of cargo space.

As for passenger space, Chevy makes SUVs that can carry between one to nine passengers. There really is a Chevy SUV for every driver and every family.

What Are the Different SUV Types?

This is a great question that we are happy to answer. SUVs come in plenty of different styles/types, including compact crossovers, crossovers, mid-size, and full-size. This can be confusing at times because there are so many options available. The truth is that "SUV" is a somewhat broad term. Just remember that the main difference here is size. Crossovers are smaller and function more like cars with excellent fuel economy ratings, whereas mid to full-size SUVs are larger and function more like trucks with a high towing capacity and cargo space.

As far as which one is best for you, well, it all depends on what you need. Either way, you're getting more cargo space, great safety features, and plenty of room for passengers.

A few things to consider when you are looking at Chevy SUVs is that crossovers generally get better gas mileage while a full-size SUV will function more like a truck with the power to back it up. Both have their own benefits, and some crossovers do have some towing capabilities, but larger SUVs can pull more weight.

2021 Trailblazer

What’s fun about the new 2021 Trailblazer? In a word, everything! One look at the exterior tells us that Chevy has put an emphasis on fun. The Trailblazer is styled with quirky touches that give it a unique style and youthful appeal, like the two-toned roof that evokes a sporty feel. Chevy wants you to have fun behind the wheel of the new Trailblazer.

In addition to ticking the style box, the Trailblazer delivers class-leading utility. You’ll find amazing versatility in its interior, with many configurations that allow you to haul passengers, cargo, or both! With a max cargo volume of 54.4 cubic feet, flat-folding seats, and a handy 60/40 split rear seat, the possibilities are endless. The available hands-free liftgate is one of those options that you will never want to do without because it’s a lifesaver when your hands are full.

To top it off, the Trailblazer starts at just $19,000 and is available in five different trim lines. These include the base L, the mid-range LS, the comfortable LT, the adventurous ACTIV, and the sporty RS. All are remarkably affordable and provide you with the options you need. Chevy understands that buyers are not all alike, and that’s reflected in the Trailblazer’s thoughtful trim range.

2020 Trax

The 2020 Trax is the smallest SUV in the Chevy lineup. But its stately looks and surprisingly spacious interior combine to give buyers an option that they can’t ignore. Chevy knows how to build capable SUVs, and they’ve woven that experience into the Trax’s design and its features.

The Trax offers excellent fuel economy, coming in at 26 MPG city and 31 MPG highway. With seating for up to five people and a max cargo capacity of 48.4 cu.ft., the interior is adaptable to the day’s adventures, whether you’re loading up a rare antique store find or driving your friends to the beach. Whatever you’re up to, the Trax has your back.

The Trax starts at $21,300 and comes in three different trims, some of which can be further customized with some truly special equipment packages. These consist of the base LS, the mid-range LT, and the luxurious Premier. As you explore these trims, also consider the available packages, such as the unique Redline Edition. The Redline Edition includes 18-inch black wheels with sporty red accents, black exterior accents, and deluxe black seating.

2020 Equinox

The 2020 Equinox is a compact SUV that provides more capabilities than the Trax or Trailblazer without forcing drivers into an expensive and oversized vehicle. In other words, you might say the Equinox is not too big and not too small, but just right. Interior space is the headline, with 63.9 cu.ft. of cargo space available with the seats folded down. The Equinox also seats up to five passengers very comfortably, giving the driver and front-seat passenger 40.9-inches of legroom and rear-seat passengers 39.9-inches of legroom. In other words, everyone is comfortable.

The Equinox starts at $23,800 and comes in four distinct trims: the base L, the LS, the LT, and the top of the line Premier. All Equinox models come standard with a Driver Confidence Package, which includes a plethora of driver-assist safety systems, including forward collision alert automatic emergency braking to help prevent front-end collisions, lane-keep assist and lane departure warning to alert you if the vehicle drifts out of its lane, and much more. Clearly, Chevy puts the emphasis on safety, which is just as it should be.

A red 2020 Chevy Blazer RS is parked on a beach at sunset.

2020 Blazer

The first thing you’re likely to notice about the 2020 Chevy Blazer is its refreshingly unique exterior styling that resembles the iconic Chevy Camaro muscle car. Words like sleek, aerodynamic, and futuristic come to mind, but more than anything else, the Blazer is truly an elegant SUV. Chevy SUVs embody performance and capability, but the company knows that good looks are also important to customers. The SUV category is full of great options, but many SUVs look too much alike. Fortunately, that is not the case with the Blazer, which is something a lot of buyers will appreciate.

Before we get lost in the Blazer’s good looks, let’s look at the numbers. First, fuel economy is evident, as the Blazer gets 19 MPG city and 26 MPG highway, which is highly efficient for a vehicle of its size. Additionally, the Blazer gives you significant cargo-hauling capacity, coming in at 64.2 cubic feet and a max towing capacity of 4,500 pounds, which makes the Blazer not just another pretty vehicle, but a workhorse that can support a busy and adventurous lifestyle.

What about performance? Chevy has an answer, with three available engines to choose from: the efficient EcoTec 2.5 liter, the 230 hp 2.0L turbo, and a 308 hp 3.6L V6 that combines solid fuel economy with impressive performance. The Blazer is configurable to your specifications, both with the engine and the powertrain. All-wheel drive is available on select trims, as well as an enhanced Advanced Twin-Clutch all-wheel drive system that directs power to the individual wheel that can best use it.

2020 Traverse

People love the Chevy Traverse for so many reasons, but chief among them is how it fits into the lineup of Chevy SUVs. The Traverse is the smallest three-row SUV Chevy offers before buyers graduate into a full-size category. That makes it a great balance of space and utility without committing to a truly large truck-like solution. While plenty of buyers look for the biggest choice, there are many who want the benefits without the bulk. If that’s you, then the Traverse is your answer.

Don’t let its size fool you, though. The Traverse offers seating for up to eight passengers and a max cargo capacity of 98.2 cubic feet, which gives you plenty of room to haul furniture, sporting equipment, or almost anything else! Towing an RV or boat? No problem! The Traverse offers a max towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. At an overall length of 204.30-inches, the Traverse is still sizable, but when compared with its big brother, the Suburban, which comes in at 225.7-inches, the Traverse provides extra room while keeping the agility and maneuverability a slightly smaller SUV can achieve.

A silver 2021 Chevy Tahoe Z71 is parked in front of distant mountains.

2021 Tahoe

The long-awaited redesigned Tahoe is finally here, and we’re excited to report that it doesn’t disappoint! Reimagined from bumper-to-bumper, the completely new Tahoe carries on the nameplate’s revered history and tradition of blending luxury and utility for uncompromising buyers. Starting at an MSRP of $49,000, the new 2021 Tahoe personifies everything Chevy’s SUV lineup stands for: capability, good looks, and exhilarating performance.

It’s tough to improve on a great vehicle, but Chevrolet pulled it off with the new Tahoe. It gives drivers 122.9 cubic feet of cargo space and a maximum towing capacity of 8,600-lbs, providing the perfect companion for an active lifestyle. Chevy gives buyers a lot of powertrain options - more than any other vehicle in its class, in fact - including a 3.0L turbo-diesel engine capable of producing 460 lb-ft of torque, a tremendous amount of power that helps in all kinds of driving situations.

The 2021 Tahoe comes in six different trims, including the base LS, the upgraded LT, the sporty RST, the off-road-oriented Z71, the comfortable Premier, and the truly luxurious High Country. The Tahoe lineup offers some unique and category-leading equipment, such as a power sliding center console. This handy option allows drivers to set the center console in multiple configurations. It moves forward and back up to 10-inches and includes cupholders and a handy secure storage space.

2021 Suburban

Are you looking for the biggest, baddest SUV on the road today? Luckily the lineup of Chevy SUVs includes the one that started it all: the 2021 Suburban. We all know this mammoth workhorse sets the standard for full-size SUVs, but this has never been more true than with the newest version. This completely redesigned Suburban is full of class-leading features and impressive good looks.

A vehicle this big is not always easy to maneuver and park. Chevy knows this, and that’s why they’ve provided an available nine camera views to aid drivers in difficult driving conditions. On the inside, the Suburban’s available 15-inch head-up display helps you keep your eyes on the road while monitoring turn-by-turn directions, speed, and more. Even the trailering system gets a technology boost, with an onboard system that can monitor trailer tire-pressure and temperature, among other things.

Safety is the common thread throughout, with many drivers assist systems coming standard on the Suburban. These include automatic emergency braking to mitigate forward collisions, a following distance indicator to alert you when you are too close to the car ahead, and automatic high beams that dim themselves when they sense approaching traffic.

The 2021 Suburban comes in the same six distinct trims as the 2021 Tahoe, including the LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. However, the larger SUV has a slightly higher starting price of $51,700. But if you need the best SUV that Chevy builds, then there is no substitute for the Suburban.
