Searching for a New Chevy SUV?

Not so long ago, a Chevy fan was either really into trucks, or really into sports cars. Then along came Chevy SUVs: a full line of super-duty family vehicles that manage to blend the work ethic of a Chevy truck, with the drivability of a coupe, and the power of a sports car. The first SUV was the Chevy Suburban Carry-All, an eight-passenger vehicle built on a heavy-duty truck chassis. Since then, the segment has evolved to put the “fun” in “function.” While they might not be as exhilarating as a Corvette or a Camaro, and they may not be able to pull a several-thousand-pound gooseneck trailer like their Heavy Duty siblings, Chevrolet SUVs have a special place in the segment as reliable, comfortable, and well-engineered multi-purpose vehicles.
Chevy’s 2020 lineup of SUVs includes six versatile vehicles that are equally capable at the campsite or soccer practice, in the mountains or in the city. Each vehicle includes tons of options, technology, safety features, and trim packages that can help you get anywhere you need to be. With plenty of room for passengers and cargo alike, and towing capacity to boot, the new decade starts off on the right foot SUVs and crossovers in the Chevrolet family.
2020 Chevy Trax: Starting Off Right
The Chevy Trax has often been considered an “intro SUV,” due to its smaller size and economical price tag, but that’s not to say it isn’t loaded with features. The vehicle seats up to five passengers, yet offers eight different seating configurations to accommodate people and cargo alike. With the front seat folded flat, Trax can even accommodate cargo up to eight feet long, for a maximum cargo capacity of 48.4 cubic feet.

The 2020 Chevy Trax is offered in three trims: the LS, LT, and Premier. All models feature a 1.4L turbo ECOTEC engine that has a fuel economy of 26 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. For additional control regardless of road conditions, consider adding the optional all-wheel drive system.
The base LS model is well equipped with ten airbags, a rearview camera, and the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. The LT trim adds a roof rack, deluxe cloth upholstery, and remote start, while the Premier models have a leatherette seating and a power sunroof. Drivers of the LT models can choose the Redline Edition, which gives the Trax a seriously sporty visage. The Redline Edition adds 18-inch black-finish aluminum wheels with red accent stripes, and Jet Black interior, featuring deluxe cloth or leatherette seating
2020 Chevy Equinox: Small Yet Might
The 2020 Chevy Equinox is technically considered a “small SUV,” but with seating for up to 5 passengers, a maximum cargo space of 63.9 cubic feet, and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds, it’s definitely a highly capable vehicle for driving, hauling, and packing up for long trips. The rear seat is capable of a 60/40 split-fold, and a storage compartment is hidden under the rear floor, allowing you to stash all of your smaller valuables.
Equinox is offered with two engines for the new model year. The base engine is a 1.5L turbo that offers up to 31 miles per gallon highway fuel economy. For those who are looking for towing power, consider the optional 2.0L turbo engine, which is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission to offer 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft torque. The LS, LT, and Premier models also feature available switchable all-wheel drive, which allows drivers to cruise in fuel-efficient front-wheel drive until AWD is required.

Four trims round out the Equinox line, including the L, LS, LT, and Premier models. The base L model is equipped with the Driver Confidence safety package, keyless open, and the famous Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. LS adds LED running lights and the Teen Driver monitoring program for new drivers. The LT includes heated front seats and High-Intensity headlamps. The Premier trim package includes luxurious features such as leather heated front seats and hands-free power liftgate.
2020 Chevy Blazer: A Sport Utility Tradition
The 2020 Chevy Blazer is a far cry from its boxy predecessors, but it’s no less rugged. With seating for five, maximum cargo space of 64.2 cubic feet, and a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 pounds, the Blazer continues the tradition of being a highly capable vehicle for nearly any situation.
Three engines are offered in 2020. The 2.5L engine has an EPA highway fuel economy of 27 miles per gallon. The 3.6L V6 engine offers 308 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. Chevy is also expected to release a 2.0L turbo engine in late 2020, which will offer 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
The Blazer is offered in a variety of trims, including the base L and 1LT, which include the 2.5L engine, the 2LT, which includes the 3.6L engine, and is available in AWD. The sporty RS includes the red and black exterior features, and Premier is cloaked in chrome, leather, and suede, making it a truly enviable SUV
2020 Chevy Traverse: Room for the Whole Team
The Traverse isn’t the largest of Chevy’s SUVs, but it’s incredibly capable and spacious. With three rows of seating for eight passengers, up to 98.2 cubic feet of cargo space, and towing capacity for up to 5,000 pounds, the Traverse is a seriously competent vehicle for long-distance and short-distance trips.

The 2020 Chevy Traverse is offered in seven different trims, including the L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country, as well as having several special packages, including the Redline package for the Premier trim. All are equipped with a 3.6L V6 engine, which is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system is also standard, with compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Enhance the technology features with an optional 8-inch color touch screen, multiple USB ports, and a built-in 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot.
2020 Chevy Tahoe: Who Could Ask for More
Seating for up to nine. Nearly 95 cubic feet of cargo space. A towing capacity of 8,600 pounds. The 2020 Chevy Tahoe is a serious vehicle for drivers who regularly move people and stuff. The Tahoe is equipped with an optional power-release second-row and fold-flat third-row seats, as well as an optional hands-free programmable power liftgate, making it simple to convert from passenger hauling to cargo space.
The Tahoe is available in the LS, LT, and Premier trims. The LS and LT are equipped with a powerful 5.3L V8 engine that offers 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and best-in-class fuel efficiency at 22 miles per gallon highway. The Premier trim offers an available 6.2L V8 engine, which offers 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque
2020 Chevy Suburban: A Classic

The 2020 Chevy Suburban upholds the family reputation by being the premium option amongst large SUVs. Consider the 121.7 cubic feet of cargo space, room for nine passengers, and a towing capacity of up to 8,300 pounds. There are also plenty of storage compartments, including a center console that’s large enough to store a laptop, making Suburban a great choice when traveling from job site to job site.
The base LS Suburban includes fold-flat second and third-row seating, making reconfiguring for cargo a breeze. The LT trim adds heated leather bucket seats and a power liftgate, perfect for those who need to move more cargo than people. Both trims include a 5.3L V8 engine that offers 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft torque. The Premier trim includes exclusive safety features, as well as a more powerful 6.2L V8 engine
