A Guide to the Braves’ New Home: Suntrust Park in Atlanta

SunTrust Park is the Atlanta Braves’ new baseball stadium in 2017. If you’re a super fan, you’ll want some insider information about the stadium and how to make the most of the park. Here’s a short guide to help you do just that.

Parking

One of the great things about SunTrust Park is the number of parking spaces. The stadium features 14,000 game-day parking spots around the ballpark, and those who purchase premium seating will enjoy dedicated parking spaces. A-List members can buy their parking spaces in advance to enjoy easy access in and out of the park.

For those who don’t buy parking ahead of time, five lots accept credit card payment upon arrival. These include lots:

• Braves North 29
• Braves East 31
• Braves East 35
• Braves East 41
• Braves East 43

Accessible spots for disabled fans are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you miss one of these spots, you can take advantage of one of the drop-off areas for fans with disabilities.

Concessions

SunTrust Park offers an array of concession options throughout the ballpark, so you never have to go far for a great snack.

Head to the Dessert Dugout in sections 320 and 331 for cotton candy, good ‘ole Cracker Jacks, and funnel cake. The Taco Factory in sections 151 and 313 serves up taco bowls, street tacos, jalapeno cheddar popcorn, and blackened catfish po’boy tacos. 1871 Grille, which is located in multiple sections of the ballpark, offers jumbo all-beef hotdogs, Braves grilled chicken sandwiches, Braves burgers, bacon cheddar popcorn, and french fries.

Vegetarians and fans with special nutrition requirements won’t have to worry. Field of Greens in section 148 has veggie dogs, veggie sausage, veggie burgers, salad, fruit cups, and gluten-free beer. You’ll also find gluten-free options at many of the concession locations, including gluten-free hot dogs at Centerfield Market. And those Cracker Jacks are always our go-to gluten-free choice!

Park Tours

Looking to familiarize yourself with the ballpark before game day? Purchase a park tour! These walk-up tours of SunTrust Park are offered year-round and leave from the Right Field Gate. Purchase your tickets in advance or buy at the ticket office, but try to get there early if you choose the latter since there are a limited number of tickets allotted for each tour group.

The ballpark tour is $20 for adults, $12 for children, and $15 for groups and military. Tour hours are 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. during the summer season. You’ll have a chance to see the dugout and batting cages up close, plus the Terrapin Taproom, the SunTrust Club, and Hope & Will’s Sandlot. Get a glimpse of the INFINITI Club, the press box, the TV Broadcast Booth, and the Hank Aaron Terrace before stopping at the Braves Clubhouse Store for a souvenir.
