The Five Coolest Shows Coming Soon to Buford, GA
Looking for some live entertainment in Buford? Georgian cities tend to be a great crossing point for travelling musicians. Plenty of interesting shows and events happen at or visit the city, so here are a few coming up soon in 2016. From live music to riveting art performances, Buford has something for you!
7 Bridges
This Buford Community Center hosts many free concerts and other events, and this is just one of the free musical performances coming later in the year. The 7 Bridges group, a skilled Eagles tribute band, will be playing at the Buford Community Center on June 18 at 8 p.m. as one of over 20 stops on their 2016-2017 tour. This is the first time 7 Bridges is performing in Buford, so check it out and show support if you want them to return soon.
The Wisdom of Eve
At the Sylvia Beard Theater in the Buford Community Center, the Wisdom of Eve is a play adapted from a story by Mary Orr, which was also made into the movie All About Eve and the musical Applause. Presented by Gypsy Theatre Company, the story follows a talented but merciless woman who stops at nothing to get to the top in show business. The Wisdom of Eve runs from June 9 to 26, and tickets range from $20 to $25.
Chace Rice
Country star Chace Rice will also have a live concert on September 17 at 6 p.m. with special guests Runaway June and Mary Kate Farmer. Chace Rice is known for a stern but party-focused country vibe. Like the 7 Bridges performance, this concert is also taking place at the Buford Community Center, and admission is free.
Train in Alpharetta
Head a short ways easy to Alpharetta and check out Train, an American roots rock and alternative rock band that got started in 1993, and some of the group’s albums and songs have gone platinum. If you love “Hey, Soul Sister,” you can hear that and other Train hits at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater at Encore Park, starting on August 13 at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $24.50 to $99.50.
Gridlife South 2016
This music and motorsports festival is one of the biggest events happening around Buford this year, starting on August 26 in Road Atlanta and Braselton. Not only can you attend live, exciting musical performances, but you’ll also be able to see all sorts of cars in excellent condition, both side-by-side at car shows and on the track for time attack and drifting challenges.
Tickets for Gridlife South are already selling out, so hurry if you’re interested. Prices range from $65 to $150, but the full three-day stay is absolutely worth it, especially if you like seeing the fastest and coolest vehicles from all around the state collected in one place.
Between these five events anyone interested in a live show will have plenty to check out, and there’s enough variety and other things going on to attract a few friends or family members. Book early and enjoy!
