The Fourth of July Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park

Celebrate with food, fun, and fireworks at Centennial Olympic Park. The gates open at 6 p.m. on July 4th, and the event will be broadcast on the Atlanta ABC affiliate WSBTV. You can enjoy live music, activities for the kids, and food vendors throughout the evening. The fireworks start at 9:45, and admission to the celebration is free. Event coordinators encourage people to park in the Red Deck on Andrew Young International Boulevard or to take the MARTA.

Fantastic Fourth Celebration

The Fantastic Fourth Celebration takes place on Memorial Lawn at Stone Mountain Park. Here, they put on a fireworks display and a laser show. This event takes place from July 1st through 4th and starts at 9:30 p.m. each night. Admission to the park is free, and parking is just $15. Readers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution voted this the “Best Place to See Fireworks in Atlanta,” and the Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision is a state-of-the-art digital show with special effects and unbelievable graphics.

Cumming Fourth of July Celebration

Head to the Cumming Fairgrounds for a dance party and kids activities to celebrate the 4th. Get there early in the day to see the steam engine parade at 10:00 a.m. led by the mayor and his council. You can see historic steam engines that used to work on farms and in agriculture as they drive by, along with antique cars, floats from local businesses, and local sports teams. There is some time after the parade to go home and rest up, then head back at 6:00 p.m. for more fun in the evening. Admission and parking are free, and you’ll find food vendors along with all kinds of fun for the whole family. The fireworks start right at 9:30.

Independence Day Celebration

The Independence Day Celebration starts off with a parade on Peachtree Parkway at 9 a.m., which starts at Parkway and ends at Shakerage Knoll/Huddleston Elementary School. The festival starts later in the day at 5 p.m. at City Hall Plaza with food, fun, and fireworks. Come down and see the acoustic jam band, Cougar Love, starting at 5 p.m. and the Final Answer Band starting at 7 p.m. The kids can enjoy all kinds of activities from face painting to inflatables and caricatures, and there will also be a photo booth and food vendors. Stay until dusk and watch the fireworks over Lake Peachtree.
